Elina PMS and IT Foundations have supplied an automated door access system for Destiny Scotland serviced apartments in Edinburgh.
Elina PMS is a web-based property management software with a range of APIs which have been used by Destiny Scotland to improve operations and guest experience.
In Q1 of 2018, Elina PMS and IT Foundations’ ‘my booking portal’ completed an exciting new integration which automatically generates door access codes, using digits from guest’s mobile numbers, and automatically sends them to guests on the day of their arrival.
My Booking Portal works with door locking and access systems such as Paxton NET2 to help accommodation businesses check guests in more efficiently. With this successful test rollout in place, they are now looking to work with more apartment providers and door-locking hardware providers. Future plans include automating heating controls to maximise energy savings based on booking schedules.
Sally Brading, reservations, sales and marketing manager at Destiny Scotland, said: “We see this integration as a necessary and forward-thinking step for Destiny Scotland to prepare for growth. The automation of codes for the self-check-in process for our guests has resulted in saving us 30+ hours a month. This allows my team to concentrate on other areas to ensure the guest experience is seamless. It’s been a game changer for the team.”
Destiny Scotland has focussed on Paxton NET2 as their preferred access control solution. Working with Eden Group (Paxton Gold Installer) over a number of years, their expertise in delivering access control solutions to the hospitality industry has been invaluable to the success of the project.
